I love working with The New Children's Museum! My latest shoot with them was mainly to capture their Arts Education Center, which is where school field trips and stuff are held, but I also shot some of the other exhibits and visitors as well. Anyway, here are some SOOC (unedited) shots from that day.......

When I first met Makenna last fall, she was this tiny, adorable, BALD little girl who had just started sitting up. A year later, Makenna is still gorgeous as ever, running around, talking....and has hair! Not just any hair, but the cutest little curls. I could have photographed her all day........but it ended up being pretty chilly out, so we shot away as quick as possible and then called it quits when Makenna started shivering a bit ;)  Oh and if you look really, really hard, you can see Makenna's little brother or sister on the way in mommy's teeeeeeeny tiny belly ;) .......

I love how Makenna is looking at Red (their doggy) here....

Oh and a great big ~*HAPPY BIRTHDAY*~ to my wonderful sister, Katie, who is celebrating her birthday in Jamaica right now!

Since i'm not posting any family photos that might possibly be used for holiday cards, this post will pretty much be all about Asher ;)  Just like last year, Asher  (who just turned 4 last week) was amazing, and SUCH a good listener. His parents swear he's only like that for ME, but I find that hard to believe ;) I think he had a pretty good time during the shoot, because right before he got in the car, he said "I have to tell you a secret". I leaned down and he whispered in my ear "You can come to my house tomorrow, ok!?"....with the biggest, most adorable smile (as you'll see below).  Yes, my heart melted and I would have taken him up on the offer if they lived in San Diego....and if I didn't have another shoot the following day :) 

"Hey mooooommmmmmmmmmm" ;) 

He climbed up this ALL by himself!

We did this same shot last year, so I had to do it again this year ;) 

We didn't have baseballs, so we improvised....with fruit! ;) 

So in between all of my shoots, editing, etc.....i'm also the best aunt ever ;)  I was up in Temecula 3 nights this week to watch my niece's soccer team in the playoffs :) 

Maylie's (my niece - 4th from the right in the team photo below) team this season kicked MAJOR butt. Their team name is "Charlie's Angels". Why you ask? Well Maylie's dad (my wonderful brother in law) is Charlie....and he's the coach ;) Cute, clever and sure beats the pants off of the typical soccer team names like "orange tigers" or whatever crap most teams usually make up.  Anyway, this season they were undefeated and did not lose ONE.SINGLE.GAME. Last night was the last of their 3 playoff games and unfortunately they lost (by 1 point.....which was accidentally made by our team (bounced off and went in for the other team)! But that makes 12 wins and 1 (barely!) loss!  They will be playing in the Commissioners Cup next month! I'm just an aunt and spectator/photographer, but I am SO proud of these girls (and their awesome coaches). Here are some photos (SOOC/unedited) from the playoff games (which were at night obviously, but I used ZERO flash) this week. Thank goodness for the MKII and ISO 6400!! ;) 

Oh and since i'm the proudest aunt ever, I have to brag for a sec :)  Maylie is being flown (first class mind you!) to Miami for a week on Monday to do another shoot for 77 Kids/American Eagle Outfitters! What's even cooler is that Monday also happens to be her 10th birthday! I couldn't be any more proud of this girl. She's got it all. Beauty, brains, kindness, athletic skills, you name it!! :)
