Oh and since I cheated and used an old photo of PJ from last year, here is an awesome video that my brother in law made from his trip to New York during Thanksgiving break. Videos of your Lot116 shoot just might be something that is offered in 2011 ;) We'll see..........

Also posted here on You Tube (a bit more clear), but the original that I saw at his house is crisp and perfect. I love this video....especially the parts with kids interacting with their parents...and of course the rad old guy dancing his ass off. He is awesome! :) 

The weather this weekend was terrible. It was pretty much a constant hard drizzle and ZERO sun all.weekend.long. Luckily my two shoots on Saturday were indoors! Still though, without any sunlight, ISO was pushed to the limits ;) Anyway, because of the rain, my mini sessions (which are outdoor shoots) needed to be rescheduled. My first shoot on Saturday was at The New Children's Museum. They asked me to come shoot the "Move 'n Groove Family Dance Jam", which was a fun filled music and dance day for everyone. There were performances by Studio FX, Super Galactic Beat Manipulators, Olio and more. Everyone had a blast learning dance steps, watching the performances, singing karaoke and dancing away. Here are some *UN-edited* shots from the short time I was there........

When I was contacted by the folks at the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center about doing a shoot for them, I was flattered, yet honestly a bit nervous. They had found me through the work I have done for The New Children's Museum and loved the shots I did for them. So what was the problem? Light. Lots and lots of light ;) I'm a natural light photographer by choice....and RHFSC is a science center....so it's pretty dark inside so that you can see all of the awesome exhibits light up and work. I love to use natural light because I love the look of it (ok...plus that extra pound on top of an already heavy camera and lens is pretty rough - haha), but yes, I can shoot with flash as well. RHFSC met with a few photographers and test shoots were done. As luck would have it, they chose me (the "natural light photographer" hehe) to do the shoot. It was a fun shoot and there were many times where I couldn't help myself and had to test out a few of the exhibits while I was shooting. Here are some of the shots for the shoot (all SOOC - UNedited) - some were with flash, but majority were without.......

I'm super excited that one of my photos was chosen for another Tot Trends/Kid Trends Weekly cover! Not only because it's my 7th (wow!!) cover for them, but because it's my own little one :) This is PJ's 3rd cover for them...and officially her last "Tot" cover :( From now on, if she's lucky enough to grace another cover for them, it will be in the "Kids" division :)  Yep,  my "baby" is no longer a baby.....

Oh and yes, although it says "Back to PreSCHOOL", PJ is indeed starting *Kindergarten* next Monday! She is SO excited for school to start. 

In other news.....

I should have 2 more blog posts for you guys this week. Shoot-wise I was trying to take it easy this month since it's PJ's last few weeks of summer.....and although it might *look* like I haven't been doing much....I can assure you that even when i'm not busy....i'm busy...and still "working" ;)  This past 1-2 weeks alone (besides regular shoots, answering emails, editing, etc)  I did a commercial shoot, photographed my nephew's b-day party (post below), had lunch with a buddy of mine, took PJ to The New Children's museum, had dinner with friend's, had a meeting with another commercial client, did headshots/photos for our friends' restaurant, met my sister for lunch, had breakfast with my dad and his wife,  took our friend (who is also PJ's awesome godfather) to dim sum for his b-day, went to a kid's birthday party, an adults' (multiple - including mine) birthday party and an anniversary party/lunch, etc, etc, etc. On top of that, I also took some photos for my sister in law (for her work), we gave both dogs baths, did the usual things like dishes, laundry, etc.....so yeah....I wish I could say i've been sitting around eating BonBons.....but i'm most definitely not ;) 

So anyway, I have a shoot this evening (and can't WAIT to meet adorable little "L" and her parents) and will be blogging this week and trying to get a little work done, but I will most likely (besides blogging) be taking this week (and most definitely weekend) "off" for two REALLY good reasons. 1) PJ starts school on Monday (30th) and I really want to spend as much time with her as possible before she starts school on Monday. 2) It's my birthday on Saturday....and I think I deserve SOME kind of break :) 

Speaking of my birthday. My birthday wish?....for you to VOTE FOR ME *DAILY* HERE! .....and don't worry, voting ENDS on Monday - August 30th, so this is the LAST and FINAL week to vote! :) After this I will never ask you guys to vote for me (in this contest anyway) again. Promise! :)
