Yesterday morning I met up (in the blazing heat and runner filled crowds...haha) with a wonderful group of 8.  I've photographed some of them before and after that shoot, they bought a gift certificate so that the entire family could do a shoot together. This was their first family shoot outside of a studio.....and hopefully it's just the first of many :) 

The real star of the show was miss Taylor. She is always a pleasure to photograph and never fails to bust out her model poses.......

My Sunday afternoons/evenings are always spent with my family, but before I head off, I wanted to post one little sneak peek for the adorable S sisters from this morning. More to come tomorrow or Tuesday :) 

It looks like summer is FINALLY here! I guess we can save the baths for bath time now and start jumping into pools, sprinklers, spray parks and heading to the beach!  If you are a client with an upcoming shoot and have a pool at your house or even a cool front of backyard with grass...let's do some fun shots in the backyard with the pool or in the front or backyard with sprinklers! It's time to have some FUN!!!! 

Mike & Karyn are the wonderful owners of http://www.floatiesswimschool.com/ in Poway. Since they live and grew up in Poway, we started off at the park and then headed to their house afterwards. The original plan was to have pics of them jumping into their pool and then just having fun in and around the pool/backyard....but it ended up being pretty cold and overcast, so they decided to pass on jumping in since the water was freezing (we did get their feet in though!).   Their little boy Nash (age 3) is hilarious. He was a total bargain-meister the whole time since dad brought a small pack of Gummi Bears as "incentive"  ;) No matter what # his dad would offer, he would up that number. Really though, he probably didn't even need the bribery, he did great and was a smiley pants throughout the shoot :)

It's very rare if I have shoots without any kids. Besides some maternity and engagement shoots, ALL of the shoots i've done have had kids in them. When I found out this shoot would be all adults, I was thinking "sweet! I won't have to chase anyone around, I won't have to be on booger patrol, I won't have to sing silly songs, etc". Little did I know that Michael would end up being a bigger pain in the butt than most kids I photograph ;)   Ok, ok, i'm just kidding.....well a little....but yeah, Michael definitely brought the crazy and silliness to the shoot and ended up making his twin sister Michelle, mom, stepdad AND me laugh like crazy.  

One of my favorite pics reminds me of that part in "Talladega Nights" when the kid says "I'LL COME AT YOU LIKE A SPIDER MONKEY!!".........
