I'm officially....................

Last year it was in April.....this year it's March. I'm officially booked for the remainder of 2010! Absolute craziness!

*If you are still interested in a shoot this year, I will have a waiting list just like last year*. Email me the month(s) you are interested in being on the waiting list for....and if something comes up, I will go in order by the waiting list. I rarely get cancellations, but you never know!  I'm still blown away by the success of Lot116. Never in a million years did I think things would be like this.  I have also already started booking for 2011, so no, it's not too early to start thinking about NEXT year ;) 

I'm also happy to announce that as of today, I have officially hit 1,000 fans on my Lot116 Facebook page!! 

ALSO......I didn't mention anything (because I wanted it to be fair), but I had a little "secret contest" for my Facebook fan page and the 1,000th person to join the Lot116 Facebook fan page will get a $10 gift card (a.k.a 1,000 pennies!) to either Target or Starbucks, so ELIZABETH MONIQUE, you were the 1,000th person to join.....so you WIN! Another year, another birthday party! I still can't believe that PJ is FIVE now.  The theme that she wanted this year was a 50's sock hop (or according to her "a poodle skirt dance party")....which I loved! We had a hula hooping contest, bubble gum blowing contest (for the adults), hot potato (with a record), a ginormous pinata, root beer floats, etc. Although it was chaotic (and trying to take pics at the same time didn't help - haha)....it was a lot of fun :)

PINATA - Custom made somewhere in the ghetto in LA....and trekked down (barely fitting in her car mind you) by my best friend, Cho :) 

VENUE - My sister (Katie) was kind enough to offer her beautiful home to us after I went looking for venues to rent...and realizing it would cost the same as a small wedding! Ummm, yeah right! Katie's house was PERFECT for it...and the hardwood floors were the perfect dance floor. 

PJ's OUTFIT - She LOVES it and it was from www.anniepoodleskirts.com (toddler section) and it was SUPER reasonably priced! 

CUSTOM CAKE TOPPER - A wonderful Etsy seller custom made it for me. I just sent her a pic of PJ and a pic of her outfit...and she knocked it out of the park! It now sits on the shelf above my desk. I love it! - Etsy seller - daintypastimes

 

Most of these pics are unedited (sorry, crazy week), but you get the idea ;) THANK YOU to everyone who made it to the party....and an EXTRA special thank you to all of you who went out of your way to have your kids (and/or yourselves!) dressed up in 50's gear. It was totally unexpected....and awesome!! :) PJ had a wonderful time with all of her buddies and is STILL talking about her party. Oh and she wore her outfit (again) almost all day yesterday (including glasses)...and has already asked to wear it again this morning. She just looooves it......

This little girl was just pure perfection. Maybe it's because she decided to wait an extra week (poor mom!) to come out, but she was pleasantly plump and oh so sleepy :) Of course it wasn't quite as warm out as I would have liked (for a newborn shoot) so we needed to bundle her up a bit (and OF COURSE yesterday and today have been HOT....figures!), but she was just so perfect in that little bed. The squishy face and lips melted me. Caroline was definitely "worth the wait" in every way.....

I was flattered once again when Jodi of MCP Actions asked if I would write another article for the blog. Here is my article on "How to Capture Kissing Photos Without Awkwardness".........
