Kiana (mini session #4)......October 14, 2010 | Posted by: Julie Cruz | Category: PreviewsMiss Kiana was all smiles and giggles during the shoot. The hard part? She has some new teeth coming in, so her hands were in her mouth A LOT during the shoot (hehe). It's ok though, because daddy and mommy were there to be the official "hand puller outters".....and even the shots with her hand(s) in her mouth are adorable. It captures just who she is right now ;) Oh and mama brought some balloons since Kiana is turning 1 this month! Prepare for cuteness......
.......and since this mama has been dying to see pics all week (since they were the last of the mini sessions), i'll sneak in 2 extras for her ;) .........
Faith and Mason (mini session #3).......October 13, 2010 | Posted by: Julie Cruz | Category: PreviewsFaith and Mason were more kiddos that I hadn't seen in over a year. Just like Sam and Avery, these two cuties had grown so much! Mason is 2 now, and like all 2 year olds, he was all over the place. He loved walking right up to me, chatting away (in "Mason talk" hehe), smiling mischievously and then running off giggling. And Faith....ohhhh Faith, where do I even begin? This little girl is just gorgeous and completely natural in front of the camera. I could seriously photograph her all day..........
Sam and Avery (mini session #2).....October 12, 2010 | Posted by: Julie Cruz | Category: PreviewsThis was my 3rd time photographing Sam, and my second time photographing Avery. Sam is still the handsome, silly, super smart and funny little boy I first met. Seeing Avery was a big shock though! When I photographed her last time....it was for her newborn photos! We all know how quickly babies grow in that first year, so to see her go from newborn to adorable little girl was so surprising and awesome. Check out the cuteness......
Lauren, Violet, Isa....and mommy (mini session #1)......October 11, 2010 | Posted by: Julie Cruz | Category: PreviewsThis past weekend I had my first set of mini (30 min) sessions for this year, as well as 1 full/regular session. I figured that since I have 5 families to post sneak peeks for, I would post 1 sneak peek per day (so that there is something to come back and see every day this week) :) Also, like I mentioned before, since most clients use their full family photos for holiday cards, I won't be posting any photos that would most likely be used for their cards (which are mainly the full family group shots). Oh and since they are mini sessions, I won't be posting as many sneak peeks as I usually do (except for the full session).....and that's super hard for me since even with 30 min, I still got so many cute shots with each family :) The first family had one person missing. Daddy was gone on tour with his band, Switchfoot, so it was just his beautiful girls this time around (don't worry Drew, we'll get you in there the next time!). This was a last minute fill in, and we figured that even if daddy wasn't there this time, he would still love some photos of his girls for when he's on tour. How gorgeous are they??......
Oh and I need to give a HUGE THANKS to my friend Carey of Bellagracelynn Photography, who so kindly let me borrow her awesome green sofa for these sessions. I also need to give a HUGE THANK YOU to the awesome *H* and *S* families for allowing me to once again shoot in front of their homes :) Cookies and milk with an old friend.......October 04, 2010 | Posted by: Julie Cruz | Category: My Life
Noogie time!!!!
PJ and Grover go way back. Back when she was a baby, she totally thought he was real. She had full conversations with him, "fed" him, shared her blankets and toys with him, etc. Well PJ is 5 now.....and I knew that if I didn't do these photos now (while she still loves him), I may not ever get them. We all know that kids grow up WAY too fast, so capturing moments like these are priceless :) P.S - *disclaimer* - literally ran an action (plain) on these, so "editing" was all of 5 minutes total. Oh and just for fun, here is a video of PJ and Grover back when she was 2. I love everything about it. Her voice, her chubby cheeks, her purple princess dress (which at the time she insisted on wearing DAILY - thanks Brandie! ;) haha) over her footed jammies, the fact that she says "That's what you get!" to Grover at one point, how she won't share HER blanket with Grover, etc, etc, etc :)
