There are certain people you meet and you know from the minute you meet them, that you will totally click. From the first email, to the second I walked into their home, the moment when we all realized we were chinese (or part)....and up until we were walking back to their house and smelled something.....and realized that we all thought it totally smelled like a certain chinese food (bah-tsang,  which is a sticky rice with meat, mushrooms, etc, wrapped in bamboo leaves..... basically the chinese version of a tamale ;) hehe)....I just knew. This little family was awesome to work with. We started out at their super cute home and then took a little walk around the area. Isn't Lilah a doll!??.....

 

These last shots were taken in close to darkness. The sun went down a lot faster than we thought it would, so we had to work super quick (and at high ISO) ;) .......

....or should we call him the "Up" baby? ;) Luckily this little guy's mama was ALL for my "Up" idea and let me test my vision out on her newest little boy, Weston. I've had that idea in my head for quite some time now and scoured the net to make sure it wasn't already done. Heck, I couldn't even find ONE photo with a newborn with balloons...period.... so it *might* be safe to say that this was a first :)

Get used to seeing this adorable face, because i'm sure that soon enough, you'll be seeing in stores, magazines, etc ;) Izzy just got signed with www.ZuriModelandTalent.com and needed some head shots to get going, so we headed out last night and had some fun.......

If you're wondering why Izzy might look familiar.......

(1) If you're a photographer and familiar with the awesome Bobby Earle, Izzy is Bobby's nephew....and is on his blog quite often ;)  If you aren't familiar with Bobby, be sure to check out his blog. He is bad ass and does photo trips to the most amazing places in the world (Thailand, Cambodia, China, Italy, South Africa, etc). I think I need to start a "Help Julie go on one of Bobby's trips" fund ;)

(2) Izzy is also PJ's "boyfriend". Ok, well maybe more like "used to be" ;) They went to preschool together (and Izzy's rad mama was one of their teachers) and she was in "looooooove" with him. I had to hear about him all.the.time.  I think now she's in that "Boys have cooties" phase because HE'S the one who is chasing her, kissing her, hugging her and saying "I love you! I love you! I love you!" over and over now....while she's running away and saying "Stooooooop!". Hahaha. They are hilarious together....and i'll post some of the shots of them together in a few days :)


Oh and last but not least, I need to thank my wonderful friend, Cindy, of Orange Turtle Photography for coming up and shooting Izzy and PJ with me :) Cindy is by far one of the sweetest, most amazing and down right genuine people I know.....and definitely one of my favorite photographers. She is ALWAYS one of my recs, and I am MORE than happy to send clients to her.  Thank you Cindy!! XOXO!!
